Since I’ve noticed a lot of my family’s blogs concern food as their primary subject, I thought I’d join in over the next couple of days. I’ll start with chewing gum… I discovered this little gem in Lidl:

Yes, that’s right, JETgum Energy, fortified with Guarana, Caffeine, and Green Tea extracts. It tastes like Airwaves chewing gum mixed with tooti-fruiti bubble gum so quite refreshing, and it wakes you up too. Only 45p a packet… There’s no mention on the packet of the actual caffeine content but I’d estimate it to be about a quarter of a Red Bull.

In other food news, I had a go at making my favourite French sweet/dessert: Macarons au Chocolat. This was from a packet mix I purchased whilst on holiday. Took me flipping ages, a lot of effort, and they looked nothing like the picture. Still, they tasted exactly as I’d hoped. Yum.
