(NOTE: Energy drink reviews have been moved to http://www.fizzywakeup.com)
So I find myself in Berlin for a week, and what do you do when you are in Berlin? Why, try out the local energy drinks of course. I won’t be seeing many sights sadly so this is about as interesting as it’ll get on the blog for now. Just around the corner from my hotel is a petrol station and as I walked in looking for a bar of genuine German chocolate (no, didn’t find any) I was confronted with two enormous piles of Red Bull cans, must have measured about 9 foot by 3. I also found a Red Bull energy shot by the counter too. Not cheap though at €2.99 a go… but cheaper than the €4 something they charged for a full can. It was a lot nicer than the Relentless shot I tried a few weeks back with a sweeter taste and has definitly woken me up this morning. The garage stocks quite a number of energy drinks I’ve never seen before along with the usual brands I know – looks like they are big business over here so I’ll try and sample them all before I return.
