We are at last starting to get settled. I am now online, albeit with just a dialup connection and broadband should arrive on the 16th. So far I’ve managed to give the study a coat of paint and have ordered some new furniture for it, then today I painted the master bedroom – last night, and until Monday, we are sleeping in the East wing until our new bed arrives so I thought before it fills up the room I would decorate quickly. Sadly I was just the workman… the interior designer chose a nice shade of pink. Hmmm.

Our bedroom furniture also arrived yesterday and when I checked in with Vicky I jokingly suggested she could make a start on assembling it. When I got home she proudly displayed a bedside cabinet which had taken her all day to put together… her face dropped when I took out an electric screwdriver and put together the second unit in about 45 minutes. I did feel slightly guilty and her hands are still blistered from using a normal screwdriver.
