Well… only a tenner anyway but in my 6th week of playing it’s not a bad total at the moment.
TV on the wall?
August 7th, 2008 5 Comments »I’m going to need some help here. Me and Vicky are disagreeing about where the TV should go in the new house. Now… I want to mount the TV on the wall just above the fire place. I think it’ll look great and having seen it done at friends houses believe it to be quite easy to watch too. And look awesome. Vicky on the other hand thinks it will look [sic] ‘stupid and you are stupid’ and ‘Poppy won’t be able to see it’. So….. ladies and gentlemen, cast your votes please:
A new look and a new house
August 6th, 2008 1 Comment »Yes, you may have noticed a new layout here on el-bloggo. This is for a number of reasons. Firstly I was bored with the look and fancied a change. Secondly my in-laws internet connection couldn’t really cope with streaming the videos. And finally… no-one really looked at anything on this site especially as ‘da missus’ hadn’t updated her blog in centuries. So… it’s just my blog now. If you want to watch the videos or see the photos, then they are all on Facebook.
In other news… we have finally accepted an offer on our house and had an offer accepted on a house here in the village. Things were in motion last week but I didn’t want to jinx it by blogging prematurely. This is the house we are in the process of buying:

I don’t think it comes with the cat on the drive however. We are aiming for completion around the end of September so all cross-able appendages are crossed.
Our latest advert
August 3rd, 2008 No Comments »This is the latest ‘feature’ advert in the Nuneaton Observer for our house. It’s from the 23rd July but I’ve only just got around to scanning it in.

Today we went shopping in Coventry, no major dramas but I did have a Chocolate Muffin Ice Cream Sundae which was far bigger than either my eyes or stomach could cope with.. And tomorrow morning it’s another early start as I drive back to Wales – hopefully with some new parts for my mountain bike so as I can get it ready for the hammering that Tom has planned later in August. On the bank holiday weekend the plan is to ride one of the Afon Forest paths, which conveniently for me are just down the road from the in-laws. I thought it would be a good idea to make sure my little old mountain bike isn’t the first to break down so I’ve invested in some slime filled inner tubes, which supposedly reseal themselves if they get small punctures. And just in case that doesn’t work, I’ll have spare tubes and a co2 tyre pump as a backup.
